  • Instructions for Swedish Meatballs in Sour Cream Sauce
  • For meatballs: Mix all ingredients and shape into 1 1/4 inch balls. Place on broiler pan or low sided cookie sheet and bake in a preheated 375F. oven for 20-25 minutes. Make sauce. While meatballs are cooking, heat the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in flour and cook till bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients except sour cream. Boil and stir one minute till thickened. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Serve over meatballs.
  • Serve with Lingonberries, sweet pickles and mash taters

    Baked off a whole bunch of the meatballs then froze them in a bag. Now I just pull out however many I need, make the sauce. If I serve them over wide egg noodles I add sweet peas & mushrooms for variation if I feel like it. Yummy!

    Also, the sauce can be varied by using 1 cup of beef stock & 1/2 a cup of wine.
