Chocolate and Sea Salt Cooies

- 3 cups chocolate chips shopping list
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter at room temperature shopping list
- 3/4 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts shopping list
- sea salt shopping list
How to make it
- Place 1-1/3 cups chocolate chips in a bowl and melt over a double boiler.
- Meanwhile whisk together eggs and vanilla extract then set aside.
- Sift together flour and baking powder then set aside.
- Once chocolate has melted stir in butter until completely incorporated.
- Add brown sugar, egg and vanilla mixture mixing well.
- Add flour mixture and mix until smooth.
- Stir in remaining chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
- Refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight then preheat oven to 350.
- Scoop dough onto greased baking sheet using a small ice cream scoop.
- Flatten with the palm of your hand and sprinkle generously with sea salt.
- Pat salt in gently then bake on middle rack of oven for 14 minutes.
- Remove from oven then rest on cookie sheet 5 minutes then transfer to rack and cool.
