How to make it

  • Mix all but pecans and vanilla extract in a LARGE microwave safe bowl. ( I use an 8 qt measuring cup ) The mixture really boils up high once it's hot.
  • Microwave on high for 6 or 7 minutes, stirring every 2 or 3 minutes. You can usually tell it's getting close to the soft ball stage when it tends to stop bubbling and rising as it was earlier.
  • Remove from microwave, stir in nuts and vanilla extract. It usually hardens up really quick for me, but if you feel it's too runny of a mixture you can beat it with a spoon for a few seconds.
  • Drop quickly onto wax paper, seperating the halves as much as possible.
  • Allow to cool completely and store in air tigfht containers or jars.

    I make a spiced pecan recipe in my crockpot, but it's spicy, not sweet. This sounds good and easy. Thanks and high 5
