This one is a very refreshing soup is good when you wake up with a hangover...you know what i mean :) and it also be very good with rice...YUMMY!!!!

Ingredients
  • 1 tb Oil
  • 4 Minced Cloves Garlic
  • 4 c Water
  • 1 lb Pork Ribs Cut In 2" Pieces
  • 1 lb Chinese Mustard Pickles or any vegie that you want. I prefer spinach, watercrass, bitter melon, dicon, or any squash.
  • 1/4 c Fish Sauce (Nam Pla)
  • 1/4 ts White Pepper
  • 1 cup celery cut into long slice
  • 1/2 cup of chop celanto / leave some for garnish
  • 1/2 cup tufu cut into small cubes
  • mustard pickles are available from Asian food stores
  • THIS SOUP IS ALSO GOOD WITH CATFISH.. IF FISH IS USE.....ADD LEMON JUICE TO SOUP..

Directions
  1. Heat a small skillet and add the oil. Stir-fry the garlic until golden brown ( removed some for garnish) add celery , celanto and pork ribs cook it about 10 min. add water to the pork ribs. Cover and simmer for 30 mintues or until pork are tender. Mix in the Chinese mustard pickle pieces or any vegie, the fish sauce, tofu and the pepper, cook about 10 minutes more. Remove to a serving bowl and top with the fried garlic and celanto.

Watson ......I just caught a mess of catfish this weekend......do you replace the pork ribs with the fish or just add the fish??
