How to make it

  • Fry bacon until crispy, crumble and set aside.
  • In the bacon grease saute' the onion and garlic.
  • In the mean time, flour, salt ans pepper the steaks and brown in the onion mixture in the pan.
  • Transfer the steaks to a large covered baking pan.
  • In the frying pan add the cream of mushroom soup, water, and baby bellas.
  • Scraping the bottom of the pan to get all the stuff off the bottom.
  • Add the crumbled bacon.
  • Stir and add to steaks in the baking pan.
  • cover.
  • Cook in the oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. until the gravy starts to turn a darker - richer color.
  • ********************************
  • serve with mash potatoes and your choice of veggies for a dinner you won't soon forget.
