Turtle Cake

Ingredients
- cake shopping list
- 1 box devil's food cake mix shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1/2 cup canola oil shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1-7 oz. pkg. Turtle candies, chopped and divided shopping list
- 1 tbls. cocoa powder shopping list
- Topping shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream shopping list
- 1/3 cup caramel ice cream topping shopping list
- 1 can chocolate frosting shopping list
- Additional Turtle candies to garnish if desired shopping list
How to make it
- Cake
- Preheat oven to 350
- Line 2-9 inch cake pan bottoms with parchment paper
- Grease paper and sides of pan
- In mixing bowl, combine cake mix, buttermilk, oil and eggs and mix according to pkg. directions
- Mix 1 cup of Turtle candy with cocoa powder
- Pour into pans and bake 20-25 minutes
- Cool completely
- Topping
- In mixing bowl, beat whipping cream until it begins to thicken
- Add caramel topping and beat until stiff peaks form
- Fold in remaining candy
- Spread chocolate frosting between layers
- Frost top and sides with cream mixture
- Garnish with additional candy
- Keep in refrigerator
