Oepfelbroeisi Swiss Apple Roesti

- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 12 ounces French bread, thinly sliced shopping list
- 3 granny smith apples peeled, cored and sliced shopping list
- 3 tablespoons white sugar shopping list
- 3 tablespoons raisins shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon/sugar, if desired shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat.
- Lightly brown the bread in the butter.
- Stir apples, sugar and raisins into pan.
- Reduce heat to medium low, cover and cook until a light crust forms on the underside, about 10 minutes.
- Flip the roesti onto a serving plate, cut into wedges.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, if desired.
