Ingredients
  • 1pkg (16.9 oz) frozen potato and onion pierogies
  • 2 TB butter divided
  • 2 TB vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 pkg smoked turkey sausage or kielbasa.... cut in half lengthwise and sliced into 1/2" pieces
  • 1 med. onion, sliced
  • 1 pkg coleslaw mix (16oz)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 bay leaf

Directions
  1. cook pierogies according to pkg directions
  2. meanwhile, in a lg skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tb butter w/ 1 Tb oil.
  3. add sausage and onion;
  4. cook and stir for 2 min.
  5. add the remaining ingredients.
  6. cook and stir for 1-2min longer or until coleslaw is wilted.
  7. Remove from the heat but keep warm.
  8. In another lg skillet, heat remaining butter and oil.
  9. Drain pierogies; add to skillet.
  10. Cook and stir until
  11. browned; add the sausage mixture and toss to coat. discard bay leaf.
