Chicken And Artichoke Casserole Recipe
Start out in the pan and finish in the crockpot for a very delcious chicken dinner

Ingredients
  • 3 lb (approx.) boiler-fryer, cut up
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1/2 cup rich chicken broth
  • 3 tbs sherry
  • 1/2 tsp dried tarragon
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 2 tbs (heaping) quick-cooking tapioca
  • 2 jars marinated artichoke hearts
  • Salt to taste

Directions
  1. Wash chicken.
  2. Pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Season with
  4. salt, white pepper, and paprika.
  5. Using a large frying pan, brown chicken in 1 tbs butter.
  6. Place mushrooms and drained artichoke hearts in bottom of crockpot.
  7. Sprinkle with quick-cooking tapioca.
  8. Add the browned chicken pieces.
  9. Pour in broth and sherry.
  10. Add tarragon.
  11. Cover crockpot and turn to Low heat setting. Cook for 7-8
  12. hours OR cook 5 hours High
