Grilled Gorganzola Stuffed Sirloin Burgers

- 1 pound ground sirloin shopping list
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced shopping list
- 4 tablespoons crumbled gorganzola cheese shopping list
- 1 egg, beaten shopping list
- 2 tablespoons balsalmic vinegar shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper shopping list
- sea salt to taste shopping list
- 1/2 red pepper flakes shopping list
- 2 gourmet buns, of choice, split shopping list
- 3 teaspoons hot sauce shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter, room temperature shopping list
- 2 slices of Walla Walla sweet onion shopping list
- 2 butter lettuce leaves shopping list
How to make it
- Combine ground sirloin, green onions, egg, balsalmic vinegar, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and red pepper, mix until just combined. Set aside. Prepare BBQ over medium-high heat. Shape burger into 4 equal patties and indent the middle of each patty. Place 2 tablespoons of the gorganzola cheese in the divet of 2 of the patties. Place 2 patties together and seal the edges. Grill until desired color. Meanwhile, combine hot sauce and butter in a small bowl and spread on the top part of the split buns. Place buns, butter-side down on grill the last 2-3 minutes of grilling time. Put burger on bottom bun, top with a slice of Walla Walla sweet onion and a leaf of butter lettuce.
