Banana bread

- Ingredients shopping list
- * 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- * 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- * 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- * 1/2 cup margarine shopping list
- * 3/4 cup fine sugar shopping list
- * 2 eggs, beaten shopping list
- * 2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas shopping list
- * 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts perfered) shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
- 2. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- 3. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
- 4. In a separate bowl, cream together margarine and sugar.
- 5. Stir in eggs, mashed bananas, and nuts into creamed butter until well blended.
- 6. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten.
- 7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
- 8. Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
- 9. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
