Ingredients

How to make it

  • I used my Kitchen Aid stand-alone mixer for this but I've read that a tightly sealed jar with clean marbles will work.
  • Pour heavy whipping cream in mixer
  • Mix on medium-high speed for about 20 minutes. Check it every 3-5 minutes.
  • Once clumps of butter start to form, take a clean cloth(I used a linen piece of fabric) put half the butter in it and over a dish squeeze out the buttermilk.
  • Repeat the process for the rest of the butter.
  • IMPORTANT: If you do not use the butter the same day it's important to get all the buttermilk out or it will sour, making the butter taste bad.
  • Use butter and buttermilk as you wish, I made cookies and they were amazing!
  • ENJOY
