Taco Cornbread Pizza

This is a wonderful Mexican twist on pizza with a surprising cornbread crust. This recipe will become a huge hit at your home with young and old alike. Serve with a tossed salad.
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. corn muffin mix (I like to use jalapeno cornbread mix) shopping list
- 1 pound ground beef shopping list
- 1 package taco seasoning shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare corn muffin mix as directed on package. Spread batter in greased 12 inch pizza pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Brown meat; drain. Add taco seasoning; prepared as directed on package.
- Sprinkle 1 cup cheese over crust. Top with meat and remaining cheese.
- Bake 4 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with toppings such as shredded lettuce, salsa and sour cream.
