Lemon Lime Baked Sweet Potatoes

LEMON LIME BAKED SWEET POTATOES This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ellis Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1980.
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 7 ounces lemon lime soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 tablespoons margarine shopping list
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 4 large sweet potatoes sliced shopping list
How to make it
- In heavy skillet combine all ingredients except sweet potatoes.
- Boil together 5 minutes then add sweet potatoes and simmer 20 minutes.
- Place in 350 oven and bake 20 additional minutes.
