Cherry Pound Cake

- 1 cup butter
butter> - 3 oz boiling water shopping list
- 3 oz milk shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 3 cups of cake flour
- ½ nutmeg shopping list
- 2 tsp of baking powder shopping list
- 1 cup of glace cherries sliced and dredged in flour shopping list
- 1 cup of unsweetened coconut
- ½ tsp of almond flavoring, optional shopping list
How to make it
- Grease two 8x4 loaf pans and line with parchment. Or use bundt pan. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Cream butter and gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Sir in boiling water until well blend then add milk repeating the step.
- Add 1/3 of the flour then one egg. Beating well after each addition. Repeat twice more, adding nutmeg and baking powder to last flour addition.
- Fold in coconut and cherries.
- Carefully spread into pans of your choice. Baking @ 300 degrees for about 75 to 80 minutes.
