This recipe was my aunt by marriages (Kathy's) recipe.This is very good.

Ingredients
- 1 (5 pound) ham (remove plastic from the ham) slice
- 1 head of cabbage
- 8 to 10 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 8 cups water
Directions
- In an large pot put all of the ingredients together.
- 2.Cook till potatoes are well tender

My Grandmother used to make this back in the day,and my Mother followed her recipe. Great winter meal. A good substitute for the cabbage is green beans.
