Beef Bruschetta Skillet

- 1 lb. (500 g) boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into thin strips shopping list
- 2 tsp. oil shopping list
- 2 large tomatoes, chopped OR 1 undrained can (19 fl oz/540 mL) diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 can (10 fl oz/284 mL) beef broth shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 tsp. dried basil leaves shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups instant white rice, uncooked shopping list
- 1/2 cup KRAFT 4 cheese ITALIANO Shredded cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Cook meat in hot oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat 2 min. or until evenly browned, stirring frequently.
- Remove meat from skillet; set aside.
- Add tomatoes, broth, garlic and basil to skillet. Bring to boil.
- Stir in rice; return to boil.
- Reduce heat to medium-low; stir in meat.
- Top with cheese; cover.
- Simmer 5 to 10 min. or until heated through.

Made it in a large sauce pot. Used regular long grain rice, so I had to increase the water and simmer time.
A nice recipe. Like the one pot angle. Added salt.
