Boston Scrod Recipe
Tasty,cruchy,slightly spicy coating on broiled scrod(cod). Great flavor.

Ingredients
  • 4 cod fillets
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/3c butter,melted
  • 1tsp dry mustard
  • 3/4c dry breadcrumbs(I use panko)
  • 1tsp onion salt
  • dash of worcestershire sauce and tobasco
  • 2Tbs lemon juice

Directions
  1. Season fish withn salt and pepper. Brush with butter,broil 5 mins.
  2. Combine remaining butter with breadcrumbs,mustard,onion salt,worcestershir sauce,tobasco,lemon juice and parsley.
  3. Spoon mixture carefully on top of fish fillets,covering it completely. Press lightly tp pack crumbs in place. Broil 5 to 7 mins. more or till top lightly browned and fish flakes.

Growing up I thought scrod was a species of fish...LOL....Have since learned scrod is baby cod and schrod is baby haddock under 3 lbs....:)


I don't care what it is, I love scrod and you have come up with a super recipe. You get my 5. I wish I could find some so I could have it for supper tonite.
