Fast and easy Pasta with Tomato Shrimp Sauce

- 1 28-ounce can tomatoes shopping list
- 1 medium onion, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground chili shopping list
- 2 teaspoons fresh basil, chopped shopping list
- 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped shopping list
- 2 tablespoons olive oil shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 pound linguine pasta shopping list
- 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined shopping list
- grated romano cheese to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Purée tomatoes in food processor and place in a saucepan. Add onion, chili, basil, parsley, olive oil and garlic. Simmer on low for 20 minutes. Add shrimp and simmer until pink, approximately 3 minutes. Cook and drain pasta. Serve shrimp sauce over pasta. Sprinkle with Romano cheese.
