Universal Italian Dressing Marinade

- 2 Tbs kosher salt shopping list
- 2 Tbs sugar shopping list
- 1 Tbs dried oregano shopping list
- 2 tsp.fresh ground black pepper shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic,finely chopped or grated shopping list
- 1/2 red bell pepper,grated(about 1/4 c) shopping list
- 1/2 small Spanish or sweet onion,grated(about 1/4 c shopping list
- 1/2 tsp hot pepper,such as jalapeno,grated shopping list
- zest and juice of 1 lemon shopping list
- 3/4c white wine vinegar shopping list
- 1 c extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 1 c canola oil shopping list
How to make it
- In med-size bowl,combine salt,sugar,oregano,pepper,garlic,bell pepper,onion,hot pepper,lemon zest and juice and vinegar. Puree ingredients together with hand blender for about 30 seconds(or combine in regular blender). With blender running,stream the oils into the bowl and mix till incorporated.
- The marinade can be used immediately or stored for up to 4 days(may seperate if left in refrigerator,just zap it back together in blender.
