Universal Italian Dressing Marinade Recipe
Wonderful all purpose marinade that Adam Perry Lang did on TV. Can be used on anything you want to marinade

Ingredients
  • 2 Tbs kosher salt
  • 2 Tbs sugar
  • 1 Tbs dried oregano
  • 2 tsp.fresh ground black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic,finely chopped or grated
  • 1/2 red bell pepper,grated(about 1/4 c)
  • 1/2 small Spanish or sweet onion,grated(about 1/4 c
  • 1/2 tsp hot pepper,such as jalapeno,grated
  • zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 3/4c white wine vinegar
  • 1 c extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 c canola oil

Directions
  1. In med-size bowl,combine salt,sugar,oregano,pepper,garlic,bell pepper,onion,hot pepper,lemon zest and juice and vinegar. Puree ingredients together with hand blender for about 30 seconds(or combine in regular blender). With blender running,stream the oils into the bowl and mix till incorporated.
  2. The marinade can be used immediately or stored for up to 4 days(may seperate if left in refrigerator,just zap it back together in blender.
