A delicious creamy rice pudding.

Ingredients
  • ½ cup rice
  • ½ cup water
  • 4 cups milk
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Directions
  1. In a saucepan, bring rice and water to the boil.
  2. Gradually add milk and sugar. Simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally to prevent rice from sticking to the base of the saucepan.
  3. When rice is tender remove from heat and add vanilla essence.
  4. Mixture will thicken as it cools. Serve warm or cold.
