How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line 24 muffin cups with foil liners; set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, milk, oil, eggs, and almond extract.
  • Using electric mixer on low speed, mix for 30 seconds, scraping down sides with rubber spatula.
  • Increase speed to medium and beat 2 minutes, scraping down sides if needed.
  • Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling about 2/3 full and bake 17 to 20 minutes.
  • Remove from pans and cool on wire racks.
  • Top with Italian-Meringue Buttercream frosting.
  • Can be decorated with anything from Candied flowers, or any color sugar.
