Cajun Rib Eye Steaks Recipe
CAJUN RIB EYE STEAKS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Cullen Estate in Allen, Texas in 1984.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 white onion thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 small rib-eye steaks
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper

Directions
  1. Combine oil, onion, garlic powder and 1 tablespoon black pepper in rectangular glass dish.
  2. Add steaks to marinade turning to coat then spoon half of sliced onion evenly over steaks.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight then prepare barbeque to medium heat.
  4. Remove steaks from marinade.
  5. Combine paprika, cayenne, salt, white pepper and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper in small bowl.
  6. Sprinkle each side of each steak with 1 teaspoon spice mixture then grill 8 minutes per side.
