How to make it

  • Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a small skillet over moderate heat and sauté onion 5 minutes.
  • Combine with ground beef, egg yolks, cream, beets, capers and vinegar in bowl.
  • Form into 4 large patties.
  • Heat remaining butter and oil in large skillet over moderate heat.
  • Fry patties 4 minutes per side then serve on buns topped with eggs and condiments of choice.

    Now that is definitely a different take on a burger - and I'm half Swedish, so will have to try this one. I do like beets, and love capers, so how can I go wrong?!
