Thai Burgers With Gingered Mushroom

- 2 pounds ground sirloin shopping list
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro shopping list
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh mint shopping list
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice shopping list
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeno pepper shopping list
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic shopping list
- 1 teaspoon grated lime zest shopping list
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- Mushrooms: shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 2 tablespoons peanut oil shopping list
- 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger shopping list
- 8 ounces fresh shitake mushrooms stems removed and sliced shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all burger ingredients in large bowl and mix gently but thoroughly.
- Form into 4 patties and grill directly over hot coals 5 minutes per side.
- Heat butter and peanut oil in a skillet over moderate heat and sauté ginger for 30 seconds.
- Add mushrooms and sauté 5 minutes then season with salt and pepper.
- Serve burgers on toasted buns topped with mushrooms.
