How to make it

  • Combine sugar, butter and water in a large heavy skillet over high heat.
  • Cook stirring constantly about 10 minutes until mixture reaches hard crack stage.
  • Stir in nuts and pour mixture onto a buttered slab or baking sheet and form into 1 foot square.
  • When almost cool brush with the melted chocolate and sprinkle with the finely chopped nuts. Break into pieces when cold.
