How to make it

  • Cut chicken into curry pieces and fry in 4 tbsp oil till brown on all sides
  • remove chicken and pour 3tbsp oil and add bay leaves, black pepper, cloves and cardomom and fry for few seconds
  • add sliced onion, ginger and garlic paste and green chilli and fry opver medium heat till light brown
  • add red chilli powder, corriander powder, tumeric, roasted cumin powder and salt.
  • stir well and add tomatoes and cook untill they are tender
  • add yoghurt and 3 cups water and bring to boil on high
  • add salt
  • lower the heat to medium and add the chicken
  • cover the pan and cook untill the meat is tender and the gravy is thick.
