Old Fashioned Easy Fresh Peach Pie

An oldie but goodie. I enjoy the filling with fresh peaches mixed into a cooked peachy filling.
Ingredients
- 1 9-inch pie shell baked shopping list
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch shopping list
- 1 cup sugar ( Splenda could be substituted ) shopping list
- 1 tsp almond or vanilla flavor (optional ) shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups mashed peaches shopping list
- 3 fresh peaches -sliced shopping list
- 1 pint whipping cream whipped shopping list
How to make it
- Mix the sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan.
- Add the mashed peaches and cook until the mixture reaches the boiling point. and is thickened
- Cool Completely
- Sir in flavoring ( optional )
- Arrange the sliced peaches in the baked pie shell and pour the mashed peach mixture over the top.
- Place Mixture n baked pie sheel.
- Whip cream and spread or pipe decoratively over the top
- Chill very well before serving
- Add a dash of grated nutmeg if desired over the top of the pie
