6666 Soppin Sauce

- • 1 cup water shopping list
- • 1 16 ounce can tomato paste shopping list
- • 5 tsp. chili powder shopping list
- • 1-1/2 tsp. black pepper shopping list
- • 1/2 cup catsup shopping list
- • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt shopping list
- • 3 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce shopping list
- • 1/3 cup cider vinegar shopping list
- • 1/3 cup lemon juice shopping list
- • 1/2 cup margarine or butter shopping list
- • 1/4 tsp. cayenne shopping list
- • 6 Tbsp. honey shopping list
- • 6 Tbsp. brown sugar shopping list
- • 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pan.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer one hour, stirring occasionally.
- If used as a basting sauce, baste meat with sauce when almost done.
- Can also be served as a sauce with the meal.
- Suggestions
- Great with ribs and brisket
- Makes approximately 6 cups
