Quick Berry Trifle Recipe
To make this extra-easy dessert,use storebought whipped cream and poundcake and any berries you have on hand. Serve in a wine glass for an elegant touch.From Woman's World

Ingredients
  • 2c whipped cream
  • 3c cubed poundcake
  • 1/2c fresh blackberries
  • 1/2c fresh raspberries
  • fresh thyme sprigs,for garnish

Directions
  1. Layer first four ingredients in wineglasses beginning with cream,followed by cake then berries. Repeat till each glass is full. Garnish with thyme.

OK, I have made this dessert. I used 'flash frozen' berries, and a splash of Mathilde Raspberry Liqueur on the pound cake pieces. Absolute Ambrosia. This goes into my list of Top 10 Desserts. Thanks again,

You can add Raspberry Liqueur to this recipe. You can fold a little liqueur into the whipped cream (gives it a delicate pink color) or just drizzle it on the pound cake pieces.
