Grandpa Honeycutts Baked Beans

A simple side dish for a backyard BBQ. A sweet "Boston Baked Bean" taste. modified 7/6/09
Ingredients
- 1 #10 can of pork and beans 102 oz shopping list
- 1 large yellow onion shopping list
- 1 cup Grandma's molasses shopping list
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed shopping list
- 12 oz bacon, cut into 1 inch squares shopping list
How to make it
- Coarsely chop the onion and sauté
- Drain pork and beans
- Add all ingredients to large bowl and mix
- Pour into a 9 X 13 baking dish
- Evenly place bacon squares on top of bean mixture
- Bake in hot oven, 400 degrees, for 30 minutes or until bacon is browned
- Cool slightly before serving
