Middle Eastern Halibut Fillets Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 halibut fillets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/2 white onion minced
  • 1/3 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 then place fish on greased baking sheet.
  2. Brush with 2 tablespoons of the olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Combine bread crumbs, onion, cilantro, zest, cumin, cardamom and cayenne.
  4. Stir in remaining olive oil then divide mixture over top of fish fillets.
  5. Bake until fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork about 12 minutes.
