How to make it

  • Combine sugar, cocoa and boiling water; whisk until smooth.
  • Add malted milk powder/Ovaltine and stir until blended.
  • Mix in milk and cream and let mixture cool.
  • Pour into ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions until texture is that of ice cream.
  • (Place in freezer in airtight container for 30 minutes if firmer ice cream is desired)

    christine, do you get a lot of use out of your ice cream maker? I've never had one and wondered if I'd like it or not. This recipe sounds GOOD!
