Mushroom Jack Rolls Recipe
Inspiration in the grocery store! I saw the onion rolls, remembered I had a few mushrooms left from another recipe, and voila!

Ingredients
  • 8oz sliced mushrooms
  • 6oz Pepper Jack cheese
  • 4oz Monterey Jack
  • 6 onion rolls
  • Butter or margarine
  • 4 T unsalted butter

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. LIne cookie tray or baking pans with foil.
  3. Slice mushrooms.
  4. Grate and combine cheeses.
  5. Slice rolls in half; butter each; sprinkle cheese on each half.
  6. Place rolls in baking pans and put in oven; bake or broil to desired brownness, 5-10 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, melt unsalted butter in skillet over medium-high heat; saute mushrooms about 5 minutes, turn heat off, and let pan sit on burner.
  8. When rolls are done, take out of oven and sprinkle with mushrooms.
  9. Golden and delicious!

I have a mushroom plant down the road and they sell big bags of mushrooms sliced for $2 any kind i got a big bag of portabello and a big bag of button for myself yesterday. I freeze some but love to use them fresh and this sounds like a way. thanks.
