Pasta Vazu Fazul The Red Version

- 3-4 cloves of garlic shopping list
- 1 onion shopping list
- 1 can tomato paste any size plus 2 cans of water shopping list
- 1 28 oz of Roma style tomatoes crushed. shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1 16 oz can garbanzo beans ( chickpeas ) with its water. shopping list
- 1 lb box of chili mac macaroni or elbow macaroni shopping list
- 2 Tbs olive oil or other oils. shopping list
- 1 tsp of salt, pepper, oregano, red pepper and basil. shopping list
How to make it
- In a large sauce pan put the oil fry the garlic and onion till it starts to brown, remove garlic and onion.
- In the pan at medium heat add the tomato paste and the 2 cans of water and the crushed tomato stir,
- add seasonings turn up heat to bring to a boil. add the baking soda, sugar and the garbanzo beans and its
- water cook for one hour.
- In a 5 quart sauce pan or larger cook the macaroni Al dente not too soft 7 minutes at most.
- After drained and rinsed in hot water add to the tomato mixture and simer for 10 more minutes.
- Now it is ready to serve.

This was a recipe my mom made. i did not get her before she passed to the other side. thanks for yours i will make it when all my sisters get together.my mom did use peas as i recall.
