This cake has a lot of rich flavors.I like that it doesnt use butter or too many eggs yet the results are moist and flavorful.Not real sweet either,a chocolate glaze will do that.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1/4 Tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tsps. baking powder
  • 1 Tsp. baking soda
  • 1 Tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee,cooled
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 Tsps. vanilla

Directions
  1. In a large mixing bowl combine first 8 ingredients
  2. Add eggs,coffee,buttermilk,oil and vanilla,beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.Batter will be somewhat thin.
  3. Pour into a greased and floured 10" bundt pan (fluted tube pan )
  4. Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes,or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. {Check last 15 minutes,the last time I made this it took less than 45.}
  6. Let cool in pan 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. When cool dust with powdered sugar or glaze with a chcolate glaze.
  8. *Recommended glaze on this site is Elle's "Shiny Chocolate Glaze"
  9. For cupcakes;bake 18-20 minutes
