Root Beer Barbeque Sauce

ROOT BEER BARBEQUE SAUCE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Crenshaw Estate in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1994.
Ingredients
- 1 cup root beer shopping list
- 1 cup ketchup shopping list
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice shopping list
- 1/4 cup orange juice shopping list
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1-1/2 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon molasses shopping list
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients in a heavy medium saucepan.
- Bring to boil over medium heat stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to medium low and simmer 30 minutes then season with salt and pepper
- Cool slightly before using on your favorite grilled meat.
