Walsh Rum Cake

- 18oz organic yellow cake mix shopping list
- 3/4oz package vanilla instant pudding & pie filling shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 c canola oil shopping list
- 1/2 c cold water shopping list
- 1 c dark rum (80 proof; we use Captain Morgan's) shopping list
- 1/4 lb butter (1 stick) shopping list
- 1/4 c water shopping list
- 1 c sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 325F
- Great & flour 10: tube or 12c bundt pan
- Mix cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, oil, water, and 1/2 c of the rum
- Bake until toothpick comes out clean (ca. 45 mins, but watch carefully)
- Invert cake on serving plate
- Melt butter in saucepan
- Stir in water and sugar
- Boil 5 mins
- Turn off heat then stir in remaining rum
- Spoon glaze slowly over cake, allowing rum to be soaked up slowly
