Strawberry Custard Tarts

- 2 Cups strawberries, Washed and hulled shopping list
- PASTRY shopping list
- 1 Cup unbleached wholemeal plain flour shopping list
- 1 Cup rolled oats shopping list
- 1/4 Cup cold pressed grapeseed oil shopping list
- 2 Tbs apple juice concentrate shopping list
- 2-4 Tbs unsweetened orange juice shopping list
- custard shopping list
- 2 cups low -fat milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup corn flour shopping list
- 1Tps vanilla essence shopping list
- 1Tbs grated orange rind shopping list
- 2-3 Tbs apple juice concentrate shopping list
- 1/2cup non-fat yogurt shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 180C
- Lightly grease 8 small foil pie plates, 8cmx2cm.
- Combine all ingredients for pastry in a food processor.Using the steel blade, process until pastry binds together. cut pastry into 8equal pieces and roll out to fit the pie plates.Trim edges and place on a baking tray. Cook for 10mnt. Let cool.
- To make the custard, bring 1 1/2 cups milk to just below boiling point in a medium sauce pan. combine rest of milk with the cornflour, vanilla and orange rind to make a paste.Add to milk and stir briskly until thick. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring continuosly.
- remove from heat, add apple juice and mix well.Cool slightly.
- Pour custard into shells,refrigerate.Decorate the tops with fresh strawberries
