Scrumptious Salmon Bisque

- 4 TBS butter shopping list
- 4 TBS finely chopped onion shopping list
- 4+ TBS of flour shopping list
- 2 chopped up/grated chicken bollion cubes shopping list
- 1 pound salmon filet*** shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream or whole milk plus some extra, divided shopping list
- 3/4 cups chicken broth shopping list
- 2 TBS of teriyaki sauce shopping list
- 1 TBS of each: dill weed, paprkia, white pepper shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- For something extra serve in 2 bread bowls. If you don't have bread bowls then serve with your favorite crusty bread. shopping list
- *** I use 2 of the individually packaged frozen salmon, defrosted. You could also use 2 cans of salmon, drained. shopping list
How to make it
- 1.) In a large sauce pan melt butter and saute onions till browned over a medium heat. While that is cooking dice the salmon.
- 2.) Once the onions are browned, add the flour and the grated chicken bollon cubes. Mix well.
- 3.) Add the heavy cream, salmon, chicken broth, and spices. Cook until the salmon is done, approximently 10 minutes. (Add as needed additonal chicken broth to thin the bisque or flour to thicken the bisque to reach the consistency your family likes). You will need to stir this regulary to avoid it sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- 4.) Stir in the teriyaki sauce and allow to cook for 1-2 two minutes longer.
- 5.) Serve in bread bowls
- 6.) Enjoy!
