Chocolate Pound Cake

- 1 c soft butter shopping list
- 1/2 c shortening shopping list
- 3 c sugar shopping list
- 5 eggs shopping list
- 4 Tbls cocoa shopping list
- 3 c flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 c milk shopping list
- 2 tsp vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 325. Grease & flour bundt pan.
- Sift together cocoa, flour, salt & baking powder. Set aside.
- Cream butter & shortening till fluffy.
- Add sugar 2 Tbls at a time.
- Add eggs one at a time beating two minutes after each.
- Beat above till well mixed & very light & fluffy.
- Add sifted ingredients alternately with milk & vanilla beating till well blended.
- Pour into pan & bake till tests clean, appoximately 90 minutes.
- Cool 15 - 20 minutes in pan, then invert to wire rack to cool.
- Dust with powdered sugar, if desired. Frosting not reccomended.
