Grilled Tequila Lime Shrimp Recipe
An easy to make recipe that is great on the grill, but you have to keep an eye on it. Too hot or too long will dry out the shrimp.

Ingredients
  • 2-3 pound of deveined shrimp with shell on (fills one gallon jar)
  • 2 8 ounce bottles of lime juice
  • 1 pint Tequila
  • Sauce: 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder(opt.)
  • Special equipment: 1 gallon jar w/lid
  • Bamboo skewers

Directions
  1. Clean and rinse shrimp, leave in shell.
  2. Fill gallon jar with shrimp within 1 inch of top.
  3. Pour in tequila and lime juice.
  4. Seal jar and let marinate for 1 to 2 hours.
  5. Soak skewers per instructions.
  6. Drain shrimp.
  7. Thread 6 to 8 shrimp per skewer.
  8. Heat grill to lowest temp.
  9. Oil grates to keep shrimp from sticking.
  10. Lay skewers on grates and brush on butter sauce.
  11. Watch carefully as each grill varies.
  12. Mine takes about 7 minutes for first side.
  13. Turn over shrimp and brush again.
  14. Once shrimp become "red", they are done.
  15. Any reserve butter sauce may be use to brush on again.
  16. Remove from skewers, peel, and enjoy!!
