Lamb Shanks Slow cooked wine Redwine,Bayleaf,garlic,Rosemary,thyme And chunky Vegetables... My family loves this with heaps of Crusty bread!!!!!

Ingredients
  • 4 large lamb shanks
  • 3 tbsp of seasoned plain flour(to coat shanks before browning!)
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large carrot
  • 2 large stalks of celery
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 3 cloves of garlic - crushed
  • 1 cup of red wine
  • 400g Tin of Chunky chopped tomatoes
  • 2 cups of lamb stock
  • Bay leaf
  • Sprig of Rosemary
  • 1tsp of fresh thyme
  • Salt and pepper

Directions
  1. Turn on Slow Cooker to high
  2. in a freezer bag place the seasoned flour and shanks
  3. shake and coat the shanks well
  4. heat a frypan and brown Shanks(set aside)
  5. Chop all Vegetables into chunks
  6. place in the bottom of cooker
  7. Add the tin of toms
  8. Add the Herbs
  9. Add the Shanks
  10. Add the Stock and wine..pour over the shanks
  11. Cook for 3 - 4hours
  12. serve with bread rolls with lost of butter
  13. ENJOY!!

Sounds yummy but I don't care for lamb. I would change this to veal shanks. Thanks for thinking of me and sending the recipe!
