Slow Cooked Lamb Shanks In Redwine And Herbs

- 4 large lamb shanks shopping list
- 3 tbsp of seasoned plain flour(to coat shanks before browning!) shopping list
- 1 large onion shopping list
- 1 large carrot shopping list
- 2 large stalks of celery shopping list
- 2 medium potatoes shopping list
- 3 cloves of garlic - crushed shopping list
- 1 cup of red wine shopping list
- 400g Tin of Chunky chopped tomatoes shopping list
- 2 cups of lamb stock shopping list
- Bay leaf shopping list
- Sprig of rosemary shopping list
- 1tsp of fresh thyme shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Turn on Slow Cooker to high
- in a freezer bag place the seasoned flour and shanks
- shake and coat the shanks well
- heat a frypan and brown Shanks(set aside)
- Chop all Vegetables into chunks
- place in the bottom of cooker
- Add the tin of toms
- Add the Herbs
- Add the Shanks
- Add the Stock and wine..pour over the shanks
- Cook for 3 - 4hours
- serve with bread rolls with lost of butter
- ENJOY!!
