How to make it

  • Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the dates
  • Allow to sit for 15 minutes
  • Blend all wet ingredients
  • Add dry ingredients
  • Pour into cake tin
  • Bake at 180C for approximately 1 hour
  • Serve with yoghurt and carob sauce
  • Or home-made custard

  • Try adding 1 cup of walnuts
