VINEGAR PIE

- 2 Tbsp. of butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 Tbsp. flour shopping list
- 1 egg yolk shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. lime juice shopping list
- zest from 1 lime shopping list
- 1 egg white, whipped shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- dash salt shopping list
- 1 ready made pie crust shopping list
How to make it
- Bake the pie crust for 5 minutes
- Cream the butter and sugar.
- Add dry flour and blend in egg yolk.
- Add vinegar, lime juice, zest and water.
- Cook in top of double boiler until thick.
- Stir.
- Fold in egg white.
- Pour filling in crust.
- Bake until brown.
- I have no idea what the actual cook time is on this pie.
- I guess you have to keep an eye on it.

My grandmother used to talk about Vinegar Pie. She didn't have a recipe for it though. I'll have to try this to see what she'd get a "hankerin'" for.!
