My Mothers recipe. I did try it and my family loves it. Goes perfectly with custard or cream

Ingredients
  • Ingredients:
  • 10 Slices of White Bread
  • 3 desert spoons of butter - melted in milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar - sprinkle over bread
  • 4 eggs - mix with butter & milk mixture
  • 4 cups of milk - Pour over bread
  • Topping:
  • 1 cup of Butter
  • 2 cups of Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 10ml Vanilla Essence

Directions
  1. Ingredients:
  2. Bake in the oven for 40min at 180ยบ C
  3. Topping:
  4. Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl and mixed well
  5. Methode:
  6. Put the topping mixture over the bread mixture.
  7. Put back in the oven and bake for another 20 min.
  8. Serve warm or cold.
