Swedish Meatballs

- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 1/4 cup milk shopping list
- 8 slices day old bread shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp. nutmeg shopping list
- 1 tsp. chopped onions shopping list
- 1 lb. ground beef shopping list
- 3 onions peeled,thinly sliced shopping list
- 2/3 cup oil shopping list
- 4 tlbs. flour shopping list
- 1 3/4 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- Beat eggs
- add milk and crumbled bread
- let stand 5 minutes
- beat with fork till bread is fine pieces
- add next 5 ingredients
- beat well
- saute sliced onions in skillet with some of the oil till tender and brown, remove from pan put aside
- drop meatballs in pan, brown on both sides ( meatballs will be soft, if too soft add a little more bread) also adding oil as needed, remove from pan repeat untill all meat is used,
- in pan add flour, salt, pepper, and 13/4 cup mllk slowly
- stir until thick,
- arrange meatballs in gravy, place onions on top simmer for 20 minutes
- serve with mashed potatoes, and peas or veggie of your choice.
