How to make it

  • Start rice so it finishes cooking in about 25 minutes
  • I subbed broth for water
  • Heat saute pan
  • on medium heat
  • add butter and oil
  • when hot add floured meat
  • should cook in about 4 minutes and remove from pan
  • add onion and peppers cook about 2-3 minutes
  • add gravy
  • add sour cream and dash of wine
  • add eat and all veggies to heat
  • Place cooked creamy rice on platter(cooked according to package directions with added oil or butter)
  • Pour meat mixture over
  • Serve and enjoy with a glass of chilled Greenleaf Zinfandel
  • Hot biscuits go well also or french bread

    I have 2 (8 oz) packages of Vigo's Yellow Rice in the cupboard, a brand that I've used before and liked. I think pork and veggies would go really well with that. Thanks again for the recipe. ;-)
