Cream Cheese Filled Chocolate Glazed Butter Sweets

CREAM CHEESE FILLED CHOCOLATE GLAZED BUTTER SWEETS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Adair Estate in Sulphur Springs, Texas in 1994.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup real butter at room temperature shopping list
- 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- Filling: shopping list
- 3 ounces cream cheese softened shopping list
- 1 cup confectioner's sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans shopping list
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut shopping list
- Glaze: shopping list
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate morsels shopping list
- 2 tablespoons water shopping list
- 2 tablespoons real butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter then add sugar, salt and vanilla and mix thoroughly then add flour.
- Shape into 36 small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets and press deep hole in each.
- Bake at 350 for 15 minutes then fill while warm and cool completely then pour frosting over top.
- To make filling cream together cheese, sugar, flour and vanilla then stir in nuts and vanilla.
- To make frosting melt chocolate, water and butter over low heat then remove from heat.
- Stir in sugar then beat until smooth.
