How to make it

  • Drain pineapple but reserve the liquid.
  • In a sauce pan, combine fruit and sugar with juice of pineapple.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer , stirring occasionally, until sugar is syrup-like (about 20 minutes).
  • Add pecans when ready to serve.
  • Great with ham, pork or chicken, as a topping for ice cream or just as a snack!
